After 5 years of research, the real 92FS began production in 1976. It was designed specifically to meet the requirements for safety, stability and reliability of both law enforcement and military organizations. The weapon was made from lightweight aircraft aluminum and incorporated an open slide which has become the pistol's trademark. The simplicity of the weapon aided its reliability; field stripping a unit requires breaking it down to only 6 parts.
Testing of the 92FS by various organizations around the world soon revealed the gun's dominance over the competition and it became the standard sidearm for armed personnel around the globe. The original design was modified and adapted for specific roles over the next 15 years and even now, 30 years later, it is in use and still considered to be the best of breed. The core components of the design have not changed during the weapon's evolution, which is one reason why it continues to be the choice over newer packages.

The 92 is the BrickGun that started it all. Our lead designer decided to put together a model on a whim, then refined it during the next 2 weeks until he had a version that looked somewhat realistic and incorporated a functioning trigger, hammer, slide and slide lock. The model gained worldwide attention, won numerous web awards and even garnered news coverage in the U.S. It has been featured on CD Covers, magazines and hundreds of kits have sold worldwide. Simply put, the BrickGun 92FS was the model that started the trend of ultra-realistic plastic building brick weapons and set the standard for how good they can be.
Now, 5 years later, that same designer has revisited the 92 and has given us the 92FS. He incorporated new techniques that have been developed for our other BrickGun models, making the updated version stronger, simpler, easier to build, and most importantly, incredibly realistic in shape and size.
This new release features all the same mechanical functions of the original. It has a working trigger, hammer, slide and slide lock, but now the model is truly life size with a shape and mechanical functions that mirror a real 92FS down to the last detail.
The hammer can be cocked and when the trigger is pulled the hammer falls with a "click". The slide can be pulled back just like a real pistol when a round is being chambered. Release the slide and the hammer is automatically cocked and ready to "shoot". While the slide is back the lock lever can be flipped up to hold the breech open, just like a real 92FS waiting for a fresh magazine to be inserted. Flip the lock lever down and the slide slams shut, hammer cocked and ready to "shoot" again.
The BrickGun 92FS is a work of art. We never expected to improve on the model that started it all, but the 92FS is another incredible leap forward in our line of models that truly are The Coolest Plastic Building Brick Weapons in the World! |

A Note From the Designer -
"When I built the first BrickGun model it was just to see if I could come with something that looked vaguely like the classic 92 pistol. Once I decided to add moving mechanical functions I never dreamed where it would lead. I had no idea that it would become the thing that I'll probably be most known for.
Now that BrickGun is known around the world I decided to refine the original design to try and do it justice. To be honest, the original never really looked that much like a real 92 to me. The fact that it moved and functioned like a real pistol was what really caught everyone's eye; the shape left much to be desired.
After designing our other models we have become fairly adept at creations which not only (partly) function, but also mimic the look and scale of real weapons. The new 92FS is amazing to me. It maintains the same functionality of the original, but now it really looks like a 92FS and is identical to one in size. One of the coolest things about the new design is that it looks real even when the slide is back. In fact, if you separate the model into its components (grip/frame, slide, barrel) each part even looks like its counterpart on a real 92FS when it is field stripped.
All of the BrickGun models are beautiful, but this one will always be my favorite (since this is my favorite pistol) and now I honestly feel like we've done it justice. I don't think you'll ever see a plastic building brick model that captures a 92FS better than this one. Enjoy!" |
